Dana Biosphere Reserve is one of Jordan’s most remarkable protected landscapes and the country’s largest biosphere reserve. Located in Tafilah Governorate, the reserve stretches from the high plateau near Dana Village down toward the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba, creating a dramatic landscape of mountains, deep valleys, sandstone cliffs and diverse ecosystems.
Managed by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, Dana is home to an exceptional variety of plants, birds and wildlife, including several rare and threatened species. Visitors can explore scenic hiking routes, enjoy birdwatching and nature photography, stay at Dana Guesthouse or Rummana Campsite, and discover the traditional architecture and community life of Dana Village.
